After a few more minor meetings within university lectures, we needed to decide on some roles for each team member. We agreed that no one would get bogged down into one place of work and help would always be wanted. The most important fact was we need to be able to work well as a team. To help us in our decision we aimed to have individual skills audits completed, this gave us the chance to go through our strengths and weaknesses individually.

After a couple of discussions with the group and Johny (lecturer) we have formed a the job roles for the group.

I was enthusiastic about getting the chance to show that I can manage a group competently. Once the roles were established I decided to create a Schedule for the group. This was a first draft of the schedule, I had never done one before.

Although this was a good starting point it had none of the things I needed for it to be a living breathing document throughout the project. I looked into other groups work and did some more research into production management and producing. I also applied for BBC Children’s Production (over 18) "You will get a feel for the production process and have the opportunity to try out or shadow a wide range of activities in the office or in studio. We welcome enthusiastic candidates who have an interest in programme-making and children’s TV, including those with a particular interest in Production Management." I thought this would be good experience for me to gain as it takes me out into the industry but also gives me a better insight into the production side of television, and I would like to work for the BBC. So hopefully I hear back. ( I sadly did not hear back, but I am on their system and receive emails for job roles; every cloud).
A group that stood out to me last year for their management was 'Making a Meal of it'. Larissa; the producer of that project. Was very organised and that payed off regarding the final grades for the group. After looking into her production schedule, I redid my own schedule and now have a living breathing document for a reference point, throughout the year.
