Story beats are the points of action upon which you hang your basic story. When you connect the actual individual action points, they build up to story, like a puzzle.

I thought the best way to show the story beats was on post-its as their easy if we need to change them around or we make a mistake. This actually took a lot longer than it looked but it did help me understand of the story along with Rowena and James. This process also made us more creative in our ideas and the story has been developed again from this. We have more ideas where the visuals are concerned, taking inspiration from Spongebob and their highly gruesome and detailed shots shown sometimes within the show.
We have developed ideas for the credits, which shows the progression of villain (Suckleberry) as well. James then developed the storybeats in a rough storyboard, so we could go through this with the whole year group.

This exercise was actually really useful as it was good to feedback on our story from the group. Things we need to think about:
Illustrate the interviews have been going on for a long time
· Bins filled with CVS
· Day 15000 of interviews (told in the corner, when establishing the scene)
What is the Demons punishment for not getting the job (or is hell punishment enough)
World building, torture is the norm
Change the buildings title to Hire and Fire as Hell Incorporated has been used already.
We took a lot of these on board in our story. There were cuts to the CV piles now, which implies they have been hunting for something for years. The introduction created more world building. We did want to keep Hell Incorporated, we couldn't part ways with the name!
